Two things which would greatly improve the world:
1)More chaise longues. Am less in need of them than I was, but chaise longues should be mandatory.
2) On the tube the dot matrix indication of when a train is coming should read "Nigh" when the train is due in less than a minute.

I've always thought leaning on your elbow on a chaise-longe looked terribly uncomfortable. And they are a little narow to lie flat on, aren't they?

Have you ever fainted into a position in which you're lying flat, my dear? Chaise longues are brilliant, I spent the morning of results lying on one, drinking coffee and reading Diana Wynne Jones

You see through my wiles! Was trying to get you to approve of coffee as well... Blast. But Merlin Conspiracy is an heavy book and one needs to lean on something while reading it... Oh, for a chaise longue while reading Karamazov!... Am failing aren't I?
